After you defeat Solus Wing in Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective, it will drop an Encrypted Cerebellum. This is a very important item that you need to use if you want to take on the true final boss of the expansion. Here is what you can do with it.

After finishing off Solus Wing, you’ll receive the Encrypted Cerebellum item. This is used in combination with a few possible items to create a necessary item required to access the Hidden Realm: Neural Sanctum, where you’ll take on Solus Heart.

Like the previous expansions, Alloyed Collective introduces several new skins for several survivors in Risk of Rain 2. Each skin is themed according to the new expansion, but is only available for the base characters.

As always, unlocking them is not a straightforward process. Here is how you can unlock each skin introduced in Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective and what they look like.

NPCs in Moonlighter 2 will give you different tasks to complete during your runs, which can lead to new weapons, decorations, furniture, and items to craft at the hub. Early on, Eris will ask you to find a hidden treasure in Kalina with a cryptic hint to help you.

Risk of Rain 2 Alloyed Collective has a traditional final boss, but also a secret true final boss, which you can face right after beating the Solus Wing. Since this is a secret, getting to it has a few key steps to follow, but here is how you can reach it. 

Reach the True Final Boss in Alloyed Collective – Solus Heart

After reaching and defeating the regular final boss of Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective, Solus Wing, you need to take the portal through his eye to the Hidden Realm: Computational Exchange, where you can make an offering to a large Solus Unit.

Like the previous expansions, Alloyed Collective introduces a bunch of new challenges to take on. As always, these are somewhat vague and can take some time to figure out. If you’re struggling with the “Lost in Transit” challenge, here is what it means and how you can complete it.

To complete the Lost in Transit challenge, you need to unlock the Drifter survivor in Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective.

Drifter is one of the new characters available in Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective, but unlike the Operator, she isn’t unlocked by default. Here is how you can unlock her and start playing with her in the Alloyed Collective.

Unlock the Drifter in Risk of Rain 2 Alloyed Collective

• To unlock the Drifter, you need to reach and beat the final boss of the new expansion, Solus Wing. This is a pretty tough fight, so don’t be afraid to start on Drizzle.
• After beating the Solus Wing, you’ll be allowed to explore what remains of Solutional Haunt. There will be a portal open (in the main eye of the Solus Wing), but you don’t need to enter it just yet.
• Instead, make your way to the top area using the zip lines, and you’ll find the remains of two Alloyed units called Solus Coffer on different platforms. Interacting with each of these will give you a Prison Matrix.

• Grabbing the Prison Matrix will spawn enemies, so be careful; you aren’t out of danger just yet.
• Now that you have both Prison Matrixes, head back down to the ground floor, where you can unlock the Vault using the first Prison Matrix.
• Then enter the Vault and use the second Prison Matrix to break the Drifter free.

That’s all you need to do, and she’ll be available as a playable character next time. This also completes the “Lost in Transit” challenge.

Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective introduces a new final boss, and it’s one for the books. As usual, getting to this different final boss can be a bit confusing because the expansion has different routes to set it apart from the main game.
